Bleeds
Printers cannot print to the edge of a paper sheet so to create that effect they must use a sheet larger than desired. The printer then prints beyond the edge of the original size and cuts the paper down to the correct size.

Camera-Ready
Artwork that is ready to go to the print facility without any further modifications by our office. A fee is charged for the creation of an imprint, or for major changes/modifications to an existing graphic file. Minor adjustments to image files is usually provided free of charge providing it does not become labour intensive. It is recommended that you provide the best image file possible and we will advise you if it is acceptable or not, and if additional charges will be required.

Copy Change
Modifying the imprint copy slightly from the original design is referred to as a Copy Change. The most common form of Copy Change is to change the text portion while leaving the logo/image in place. This is not the same as personalization as the modification will apply to all items. There is an additional fee for Copy Change that varies by product, and it is not available on all items.

Drop Shipment
We normally ship direct to your location, or we can ship to several locations of your choice. An order shipped to more than one location will be charged a fee for each additional destination and is based on the location and item shipped. This option is not available on all products.

End Quantity Pricing (EQP)
With up to 5 volume levels, the EQP refers to the last and least expensive price level offered, however the quantity requirements are the greatest. Halftone An image produced by breaking the subject into small dots of varying intensities of gray ranging from white to black.

In Hand Date
The actual date you require your items delivered to your location. Although we cannot guarantee delivery dates, with sufficient time to plan we are able to deliver on or before your required In Hand Date.

Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
This is the minimum quantity permitted to satisfy order fulfillment. The MOQ varies by item and usually requires the exact item/imprint to qualify. In other words, combining a variety of Lanyard styles to add up to 100 does not satisfy the MOQ needed.

Pantone Matching System (PMS)
A book of standardized colours used to identify, match and communicate colours to produce accurate colour matches in printing. Refer to the Pantone Colour Chart on our website for colour selection. As computer video displays may not show the colours exactly as they will print. Use this as a reference to obtain the closest match to your desired colour. Slight variations in colour may also result if the same Pantone is used on different print surfaces.

Paper Proof / Virtual Sample
Proofs are re-creations of your artwork in final camera-ready state and gives you the opportunity to verify the accuracy of the artwork. Proofs are normally presented in electronic format within an Artwork Template and may include information such as location of the imprint on the product, size of the imprint(s), or other information relating to your order. Some products also provide the opportunity to present a Virtual Sample to replace the Artwork Template. This file electronically positions your imprint on a photo of the actual product.

Personalization
Imprinting an item with a persons name using one of several methods such as mechanical engraving, laser engraving, hot stamping, debossing, sublimation or screen printing. Personalization, if available, will incur additional charges.

Pre-Production Sample
An actual physical sample of the product itself produced with your artwork and sent for approval before an order goes into production. This process has high costs (up to $500.00) due to the labour involved to make 1 sample.

Production (Delivery) Time
The amount of time needed to produce and ship an order after the Proof has been approved. Most items ship within 28 days, and often sooner. Inquiries within the 28 days should be treated as urgent unless camera-ready artwork is available and all other order details are established.

Set-Up Charge / Screen Fee / Plate Charge / Mold Charge / Die Charge
A fee charged for labour and materials needed to transfer your logo to the printing method. Most of our items include this Set-Up fee with additional charges for extra colours as an option.

Volume (Quantity) Pricing
Most items are priced with up to 5 volume price levels. In other words, the more you buy the less expensive the items will be. Request updates to your Quote should your requirements increase from the original quantity.
